Friendships: of all manner and merit

Friendships all have their ups and downs, but to me true friendship is something to behold, to cherish, protect, nurture and respect. For friendship to stand firm through all that life throws at it - from pain and sorrow to joy and happiness - it must be accommodating and forgiving, as it will over time most certainly be put to a test or seven.

True friendship is something I have only come to properly understand very recently. I am not an easy person to be friends with: I am opinionated and rarely keep my opinions to myself.
