Future of the eAccessibility Action Plan

A year after the launch of the eAccessibility Action Plan, the upcoming eAccessibility Forum meeting will review what has been achieved and determine the way forward.

Ed Vaizey, Minister for Communications, will provide the keynote, followed by Rob Sinclair, Microsoft's Head of Accessibility. The forum will also hear from Yell's Artur Ortega about their approach to accessibility, as well as an update from Nigel Lewis on the work being done by One Voice.

The eAccessibility Forum will consider four areas of the plan:

  1. Development of EU standards and Government
  2. Accessible Consumer Technology and Digital Equipment
  3. Website Services
  4. Accessible Content

The event is being hosted at Microsoft's London head office on October 24, 2011.
