“We first walked the nation in 2019 with Olafur,” Donum homeowners Mei and Allan Warburg stated in an announcement. “The solar contrasted with a spectrum of colours, we took a sip of our pinot noir, and in that second the Vertical Panorama Pavilion was born.”

With its north-facing oculus, the chapel was impressed by round calendars. Its 832 laminated glass panels convey the farm’s annual meteorological averages – of humidity, temperature, photo voltaic radiation and wind depth – in 24 shades that replicate the encircling vineyards (and olive groves and lavender fields).

The pavilion hosts a “Transcend” wine tasting expertise the place guests can sip Donum’s appellation winery varieties whereas taking within the artwork en plein airwith panoramic views of San Pablo Bay.
